The #GarudaSelect team will face against the Manchester City Youth Academy which has been in the top level of competition in the football development in England.

Several Manchester City Youth Academy graduates have proven to be world-class players. Phil Foden is a mainstay of Pep Guardiola in the senior team. Kasper Schmeichel and Kelechi Iheanacho became the stars of Leicester City. Outside the Premier League, there are still Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Angelino (RB Leipzig), and Kieran Trippier (Atletico Madrid).

The U18 level Manchester City academy team have won the Regional Professional Development League U18 at North Division level seven times (1997/98, 2008/08, 2009/10, 2013/14, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2019/20) and at National Level twice (2015/16, 2019/20). They have also won the Premier League Cup twice (2018/19, 2019/20), and the FA Youth Cup three times (1986, 2008, 2020).

In this season Manchester City U18 even has a great chance to defend the Professional Development League North and National Division trophies this season. They only need one more win to secure the title.

Meanwhile, at the U23 level, Manchester City has just made history. They came out as Premier League 2 champions for the first time in the 2020/21 season. It is an extraordinary achievement for a youth team of Manchester City whose first team will also win the Premier League in the next few weeks.

Currently, Manchester City U23 is managed by former Juventus and Sevilla star, Enzo Maresca. While Man City U18 is handled by Carlos Vicens. Carlo managed to bring Man City U18 to win the U18 Professional Development League and U18 Premier League Cup in 2020 as an assistant coach.

Manchester City's other youth teams have been equally successful. They have won the U13 Premier League International Tournament in 2016, U14 Premier League International Tournament in 2016/17, U15 Premier League Super Floodlit Cup in 2016 and 2017, and U16 Premier League International Tournament in 2017/18.
