Some of the #GarudaSelect players this season are in 3rd of senior high school and are preparing to take their final exams. Players such as Fernando Pamungkas, Rafly Asrul, Edgard Amping, and Daniel Naa, will pass one of the important phases in their lives, namely the national exam of senior high-school.
This year's exam is certainly different for them, as they are now far from home. They need to make some adjustments so that they can still focus to study for the upcoming national exam while having intensive football training. They hope, with those adjustments and preparation, they can pass the national exam well.
"For me, the challenge is very tough because I have not attended school for few months, although here I still study regularly under the guidance of a teacher. The challenge is that I have to be able to absorb all the lessons given by our teacher well. I do not have any problem on managing my time between football training and school study, "said Fernando Pamungkas.
"Here, after training in the afternoon, we all study. In my opinion, there is nothing too difficult because study is usually done outside of the training time. However, we still need to study and go to school so we don't miss lessons," said Rafli.
For Edgard, Rafli and Fernando, they have felt the experience of dividing time between study and training since last year. However, for Daniel Naa, this is a new experience in his life. "The difficulty here is only felt in the time difference between UK and Indonesia. Here it is night and in Indonesia it is still daytime. It is a strange feeling because here you have to do the exams at night. Apart from that, there is no challenge that is too difficult," added Daniel.
Besides having to undergo an intensive training program in order to become professional football players, education remains a priority for the players. Even though they have to divide their time, the players continue to do both important activities very seriously during their participation in the #Garuda Select Program in England.
