#GarudaSelect return to training For the match against their next opponent, Huddersfield U18 at Loughborough University Stadium on Tuesday (27/4). Although this is not the first meeting for the two teams, the Head Coach of #GarudaSelect, Des Walker, reminds that this time there will be different challenges.
"Of course this time will be different because the players from the two teams will be different. So, we never know exactly what kind of challenges we will face. Of course, they also don't want to lose. And based on what we saw in the previous game, they will rely on long passing from their backline. They have also done that in their last few games. We will concentrate more on our own game. We will try to play pressing and to win the ball by playing the highest possible line. We will intensify our preparations for the upcoming match in training, "said Coach Des.
Based on the last match against Leeds United, Coach Des feels that certainly there are many aspects from #GarudaSelect that need improvements, especially in maintaining their mentality, spirit and in refocusing to the game when they have already conceded. According to him, this should not happen again when they face against Huddersfield.
"The players must be able to limit the possibility of conceding as little as possible. Even if they concede, they have to get up quickly, defend properly and work together as a team. Each player must be able to do their respective duties well for the sake of team play, " said Coach Des.
Just like Leeds United in 2019, Huddersfield U18 won the Professional Development League in the 2013/14 season. Last season #GarudaSelect managed to beat them 3-0 at Aspray Arena, Willenhall Town.
